You have likely found this course because of a requirement by an employer to complete a Food Allergen Awareness Class. This program contains meaningful content informed by standards, information, and data published by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Public Health Departments and Universities. Many employers require that their workers complete this training on initial assignment, at least every three years thereafter, and when new or modified tasks or procedures may increase the likelihood of preparing food, handling food, and/or identifying known allergies with customers.

The Food Allergen Awareness Class is offered with a minimum time requirement of one (1) hour. A timer is provided to help you keep track of time spent within the course. You may start and stop the Food Allergen Awareness Class as often as you'd like and your progress will be saved each time. The entire Food Allergen Awareness Class can be completed online and does not require you to call a staff member or visit an office to complete the program.
